On December 5, 2024, the founding ceremony of the Silk Road Energy Planning Engineering Consulting Company took place in Tashkent. Key representatives from the Chinese Embassy in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan, the Energy Market Development and Regulation Agency of Uzbekistan, and the National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan attended the ceremony and delivered speeches.
In his speech, Hu Ming, representing the Chinese shareholders of the joint venture, emphasized that both China and Uzbekistan, as key participants in the global green energy transition, are committed to achieving carbon neutrality. This reflects the two countries’ strong sense of responsibility towards global sustainable development. The establishment of the joint venture not only marks a new milestone in China-Uzbekistan energy cooperation but will also serve as an important engine for regional energy development. EPPEI will fully support the development of the joint venture and contribute to the transformation and upgrading of Uzbekistan’s power system.
During the event, Hu Ming participated in a joint interview with six local television stations, including the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan (MTRK). The founding ceremony was widely covered by more than 10 mainstream local media outlets, including the Ministry of Energy’s official website, Uzbekistan National News Agency (UZA), Today Uzbekistan, and Tashkent Times.
